Prepare for Filming
1.) Prepare your vision with your team.
It’s not unusual for 5 members of a team to all have different thoughts on what will be included in an aerial video. Discuss your vision for the video with ALL team members prior to filming.
Please be sure to identify the following prior to shooting:
- property attributes
- land marks
- proximity to highways
- other notable “shots” that you would like
2.) Stage The Exterior
- Schedule and complete landscaping prior to filming
- Remove/hide garbage cans, cars, listing sign and any other items not desired in video
- Advise client/children/pets not to be outside during filming
- Advise construction workers to don proper safety attire
3.) Stage The Interior
- Assure good lighting in house by having window shades open or turn on lights
- Turn fans on low speed (it helps viewer know interior footage is video and not still photography)
- Advise client to keep pets/children/others out of the room being filmed
